Essenza
Poetry is not only metric, that would be an understatement. Poetry can be seen as a photograph, which crystallizes emotions rather than images, also sweetening memories, which can sometimes belong to a sad story: it sweetens life even when it is not forgiving. Poetry contains many things; it's instinctive, it gets to the heart, it doesn't care about rationality. Poetry is also persistent, vibrant: you feel it, like an intense rhythm that shakes your whole body. The poetry in this book speaks of beauty, of harmony, sometimes of loneliness or melancholy, it can also bring you stories of wounds and abandonment; even death is addressed, but above all it speaks of love and passion, in a continuous flow of thoughts often shared within all of us. Poetry is like rain: if you look at it from behind a window... it is more beautiful.

Il Tempio
Each of us keeps a small temple in our heart. A place to keep the most intimate things: the noblest feelings, the dearest emotions but also, why not, the saddest ones and the strongest pains. From time to time, the events of life lead us to close ourselves in our temple, to enjoy our most beautiful memories or to macerate ourselves in our most painful dramas. The most difficult thing, however, the one that requires the most courage, the one that shows the most strength, is opening our temple to others; share our joys, above all our sorrows and discover so gradually that these temples, so carefully hidden, jealously guarded and hermetically closed, all contain the same treasure: our humanity. Writing is not just a way to better preserve our feelings; it can also be a way to keep the doors of our heart open. It doesn't matter if the form is not academic, if the metrics are lame or the rhyme is missing; it doesn't matter if what is expressed is banal or naive, because thirty years have passed and you were just a boy. Only one thing matters: what makes us grow, as people and as a society: communicating!
